Aloha Spring 2011
March 17th, 2011Some of you may or may not know, but my Dad and his family is from Hawaii. Therefore I grew up with a ton of Big Island influence. Whether it was easter egg hunting with my Diablo Hui, learning to make Kalua pig from locals, or being scolded to NOT take lava rocks from the national parks (bad luck), I had a weird/wide variety of Aloha in my life. Here is my spring tribute…
1) Paul Smith Aloha Shirt, I must own this…
2) Gone are the days of big baggy swim trunks. Show off your man butt in one of these, from J.Crew.
3) If you have a big-ass head like me, you need a big-ass Panama hat to cover it up.
4) First Hawaiian vinyl I ever bought. You don’t know about the Hapa Haole’s cuz?
5) This is my pride an joy, Hawaii Statehood Belt Buckle. I wear it everyday… Found on Ebay over 10 years ago.
6) I’ve been wanting a baritone ukulele for years! Can someone please buy me one?
7) A hard to find item. If you ever see the Hot & Spicy version of Spam in the store, you MUST buy it. I promise you, you won’t regret it…

Denver Typography
January 5th, 2011I was not expecting Colorado to have so much design spread throughout the city of Denver and Boulder. This is just a small sample of great typography found throughout both cities. I wish I could have captured more, but when you’re in a 2 wheel drive on snow/ice and it’s 0°F, your main objective is staying alive.
